An exceptional sensorial journey, The Design Experience is an exclusive opportunity to compose your own fragrance, developed with our perfumery team during three in depth 2-hour consultations, over several months, if required.
Enjoy the luxury of time and immerse yourself gradually in the magical world of our fragrance archive, exploring the art of perfumery alongside our specialists. Guided through every step of the process, you will craft two bespoke fragrances using the finest ingredients sourced from around the world. At the end of your journey, you will receive six 100ml bottles — three of each custom blended creation — capturing your personal, one-of-a-kind scent story.

STEP 1
THE BESPOKE CERTIFICATE
Prior to your session you will receive a beautifully presented gift certificate and a bespoke booklet detailing your chosen Bespoke experience. We ask you to bring this gift certificate with you on the day of your appointment.

THE PERFUMERY
Your olfactory journey will take place in our London Perfumery, nestled discreetly behind our charming boutique at 89 Jermyn Street, In the same room where nine generations of the Floris family have created fragrances dating back to the year 1730.

THE LEDGERS
By having your fragrance created by Floris, your custom fragrance formula will be securely archived in the Floris ledgers, started by our founder Juan Famenias Floris and dating back nearly 300 years, for you and your future generations to reorder.
CRAFTING YOUR
BESPOKE SCENT
The Foundations
Your first appointment will begin with one of our in-house perfumers, who will introduce you to our cherished collection of foundation fragrances - each one inspired by an important chapter in Floris’ rich history. You will be guided through a range of olfactive families from vibrant uplifting citruses to warm comforting ambers. At the end of your session, you will have the opportunity to select four foundation fragrances to take home, allowing you to explore and reflect on them at your own pace.
Customisation and Development
Once you have chosen your two foundation fragrances from your selection, we invite you to book your second appointment. At this stage, our perfumer will explore different directions for each of your chosen fragrance, considering top, heart and base notes. Harmonising accords will be carefully selected to enrich and personalise your scents. Two uniquely bespoke formulas will be created for you to take home once again, allowing you to experience them on your skin and make your decision in your own time.
Finishing Notes and Ledgers
The concluding appointment is the time to finetune and thoroughly discuss your thoughts on your formulas with our perfumer. Responding to your reflections, we will carefully balance the fragrances, creating two unique Eaux de Parfum. You will have the opportunity to name your creations while our perfumer blends and hand-pours each fragrance in our iconic 100ml bottles, engraved with your initials. In our families time-honored tradition your formulas will be handwritten and securely privately archived in the Floris Ledger for you and your future generations to re-order.

Please allow an extra 3-10 days for delivery if you choose to have your bottle engraved.

Replenishment orders of your bespoke scent take up to 2 weeks and can be ordered online or over the phone.
