Top Tips | For Scenting Your Home

March 15, 2018

dboutique

Introduce the scent of Spring into your home as we enter the new season. Bring in a fresh, uplifting aroma to transform any room and read our top tips on how to make the most out of your home fragrance purchases.

After burning your scented candle, trim the wick to approximately 1cm to prevent sooting and instead of blowing out the candle, always try to use the snuffer to avoid a smoky after-scent and the possibility of the wick blowing over.

Over time we acclimatise to fragrances, so with the beginning of a season such as now, why not try a new scent to breathe new life into your interiors.

Always keep home fragrances out of direct sunlight and store in a cool place.

Always burn your scented candle on a heat resistance surface, keep it out of drafts and never leave it unattended.

If only 1/2 inch of wax remains, you have reached the end of the candle's burning time.

It is recommended that the candles should only be burnt for a maximum of four hours at a time. Allow to cool for two hours and trim before relighting.
