9 Generations of Floris Fathers
Happy Father’s Day to all of those who are celebrating today. Floris is a proudly independent brand with its foundations built upon the support and structure of Father’s spanning nearly 300 years of love and admiration. From founder Juan Floris right down to today with the 8th and 9th generation of the Floris Family still at the helm, all creating or inspiring unique fragrances along the way.
Floris founder Juan Famenias Floris created many scents, but the tried-and-true favourites which have stood the strength of time and are still on sale today include Limes and Night Scented Jasmine. Along with these fragrance Juan has a fragrance inspired by himself and his native island home on Menorca, JF.
White Rose was originally created at the Jermyn Street shop by Mr. John Floris in the early 1800s.
Neroli Voyage records the journey of Robert Floris and his adventures across the southern Mediterranean. Robert voyaged the Ligurian Sea coastline from France to Italy, sourcing new ingredients from overseas to bring home.
Bergamotto di Positano is a homage to Charles Joseph Pagliano, who in the early 19th century left the charm of a small fishing village on the Amalfi coast to travel to England and marry his sweetheart, Mary Floris. A refreshing blend of bergamot entwined with mandarin and balmy marine notes.
Favourites of the Floris family since their creation, Elite and N° 89 were blended by the late Michael Bodenham in the Floris ‘Mine’. The Floris ‘Mine’ holds the secrets to the perfect perfume, hidden two floors below our shop, and the original family home at 89 Jermyn Street.
Continuing the Family business, current Perfume Director and 9th generation Floris Family member Edward Bodenham has had a hand in creating fragrances such as Chypress, A Rose For…. And Vert Fougère.
