At Floris London, we like to give thanks to the two women who shaped the business and our legacy: Elizabeth Floris and Mary Anne Bodenham (née Floris).

Elizabeth was the first lady of Floris, who was the company bookkeeper and ordered perfumes for the store. 

When her husband Juan passed away, Elizabeth took over the business, helping to turn it into the success it is today.

Mary Anne Floris, the great-granddaughter of Juan and Elizabeth, married James R.D Bodenham in 1871 and took over the business together in 1878.

A mother of sixteen children and a steadfast influence on the brand, Mary is the conduit between the Floris and Bodenham families, whose descendants manage the business today.
