Introduced in 1951, No. 89 takes its name from the number of the Floris shop and perfumery in London’s Jermyn Street. This building was originally the family home and remains very much the beating heart of our perfume house today.

No. 89 was created in the sub-basement at 89 Jermyn Street which was traditionally and affectionally known as ‘The Mine’. All our fragrances were created here until the late 1970s.

    When first applied it’s a bit sharp, but after awhile it blends with my personality, and its full bouquet envelopes me. It’s just right…not overbearing, not transparent. You know it’s there with you, creating a beautiful impression.

    A scent James Bond would enjoy.

    I received no89 for a gift I mentioned I enjoyed the Classic scent. 2 sprays after my shower I found myself desiring intimacy with a blonde, stiff martinis and adventure in a fast auto......Thank you Mr Fleming A scent James Bond would have!!!
