Description

A unique creation designed to honour and commemorate the momentous milestone of the Platinum Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II. Inspired by Her Majesty’s beautiful gardens which surround Her UK residences, this fragrance reflects The Queen’s 70 years of service, and of the many, she has inspired during her remarkable reign.  

In support of The Queen’s Green Canopy initiative, Floris shall “Plant a Tree for The Jubilee”, and each tree planted will represent one year of Her Majesty’s service. 

Opening with top notes of cool orris, rounded by the comforting scent of oats, and lifted with a sparkle of blackcurrant and lime, Platinum 22 gently yields to the radiant heart notes of rich rose with violet leaves, clary sage, black tea, and a touch of black pepper to add a hint of spice. The fragrance then concludes with the warm woody base note of cedarwood enriched by a harmony of smooth amber, musk and tonka bean.

FAMILY ANECDOTES

2022

It has been a very great honour and a privilege for our perfumery team to work on this unique, once in a lifetime project of creating the special fragrance to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.  We have created fragrances to commemorate some of Her Majesty’s major milestones in the past and have always enjoyed drawing inspiration from the wealth of uplifting experiences and occasions that The Queen has experienced throughout her remarkable reign, and that we feel are close to her heart. In 2013 the Floris perfumery team were fortunate enough to be involved as part of The Queen’s Coronation Festival in the beautiful grounds of Buckingham Palace. The event was held in the week of what proved to bring some of the warmest and most glorious days in July. During the setting up of the festival and the show itself, we had the great privilege of being able to explore the sensational gardens there and smell the magnificent array of rich roses, sweet fresh magnolias, geraniums, sweet peas, and herbs, as well as many other delightful summer blooms. It is these stunningly colourful and fragrant gardens, the setting for The Queen’s annual garden tea party, and the gardens of Her other residences in the United Kingdom that became the exciting vision for the creation of Platinum 22.
